Description: EACH KIT IS MADE TO ORDER. Recreating a model of the original Veco Dumas Little Tomahawk .049 1/2A Control Line Airplane in a Short Kit form! While other versions exist, this short kit is based on the most faithful CAD recreations of the original design. I have preserved the legendary flight characteristics while making precision updates for today's materials.
Modern Technical Updates:
Improved Fuselage: CNC machined from a solid 1/4" balsa slab for superior strength (replaces the original 3-piece 1/4" glue-up) while retaining the unique underbelly for attaching wing.
Leading Edge: Updated for 1/2" x 3/8" hardwood motor mounts and 1/8" plywood bell-crank platforms. Ribs remade with tabs for built-up leading edge (or can be modified for formed L.E.)
Trailing Edge: made for 1/16" sheeting vs. solid T.E.
Wing Tips are integrated into newly designed third rib
Note: This is a Short Kit for builders with scratch-build experience.

I have extensive delivery times because sometimes it can take a long time to get balsa shipped to the shop. If I have everything on hand, it can take as little as a couple of days to cut and ship. If you are in a hurry, send me a message and I will check stock before you order.
