Be the first to whip out a WWII warbird bottle opener after a successful flight and pop open that adult beverage at your next flight gathering.
I drew these in CAD to exact specifications to product a true to scale drawing of the F4U Corsair. I originally created this “Flight Box Tool” for a buddy of mine, who’s favorite control line airplane was his scratch-built F4U, as a birthday present given to him after I convinced him to haul out the old model for a flight which took place on his birthday.
After not crashing, we brought out the ice chest and I gave him a small gift wrapped box containing the opener. He was delighted and couldn’t be more happier opening bottles for everyone gathered.
He was happy, we were happy and all ended the day smiling.
Take notice of the great detail.
The opener is made from .074” thick 304 Stainless Steel and measures just over 8” wide and almost 7” long. Perfect for any flight box. I have also made a smaller version around 6.5” x 5.375” for smaller flight boxes. I am thinking of adding a wrench notch for typical glow-plugs too, let me know what you think about that. I will include a round magnet you can use for those who would rather use it as a fridge magnet. Either way, it is a must have tool for any model aviator LOL).
It generally takes a few days to make these ‘made to order’ openers so please give me some time to cut yours. Quantity discounts available. Order yours today.
About the F4U: In the hands of American Naval Aviators, Corsairs accounted for 2,140 Japanese aircraft shot down in World War II, and the sound the aircraft made when it was flying close air support missions during island campaigns inspired the Japanese to call the plane "Whistling Death."
