When looking at the ribs, you can notice I took great care in angling the spars so that they would sit flush atop the rib for a more perfect fit and less sanding. I have cut many parts freehand from templates, and then spent much of the time trying to get them symmetrical to each other which ended up altering the original intent of the part. By using the laser, I get exact duplicates each and every time so my redrawing the plans may have resulted in an infinitesimal variation here and there, but there will always be consistency from one kit to the next.
