I redrew the ribs and wing tips and all the other unique parts in CAD and will laser cut your parts as ordered.
It has been a long time since the 48" Wing Span profile kit was offered for the P-51 in its original format using solid leading and trailing edge material.
My goal is to offer replicas by providing the special and unique parts where builders can obtain the more common parts locally keeping the overall cost of the models down.
NOTE: Short Kit means not a complete kit. You source the standard stuff like balsa sheet, L.E., T.E., all hardware, covering, etc..
Full Size Plans can be found and downloaded from the internet, however I will provide printed (or digital) full size plans as an option.
This Short Kit Contains ONLY the following Cut parts:
- 2 Piece Machined 1/2” Balsa Fuselage
- Both left and right flaps
- 1 Stabilizer
- 2 Part Radiator parts
- 2 Elevators
- Left and right Main Spars
- 10 1/16” Original Style Ribs
- 28 Wing Tip Ribs and Parts
- 2 Center Wing braces
- 2 Wing Supports
- 2 1/8” Wing tips
- 1 1/8” Rudder
- 3-part 1/8” Dorsal Fin
- 8 3/32" Original Style Center Ribs(thicker than 1/16" per original kit)
- 2 1/8" Plywood Doublers
- 2 1/8" Plywood Wing supports
- 1 1/8" Bell Crank Platform
- Both sides 1/16” plywood canopy detail
- 4 Wing Jig stands
Nothing else is included in the SHORT KIT. If you are unsure what a short kit is, please ask before ordering. These kits are considered custom made to order so typically no refunds are accepted.
